Q: What is a British Shorthair like as a companion?

British Shorthairs are generally known for their calm, affectionate nature and easygoing presence. Like any cat, each individual has its own personality, so getting to know the cat's temperament is an important part of finding a good fit.

Q: What should I consider before bringing a cat home?

Consider your household, daily routine, living space, and ability to provide consistent care. A thoughtful match helps support the cat's wellbeing and gives the relationship a strong foundation.

Q: What kind of care does a British Shorthair need?

British Shorthairs benefit from balanced nutrition, regular grooming, play, and routine veterinary care. A clean, enriching environment and attentive observation also help support their comfort and overall wellbeing.

Q: How can I choose a healthy, well-socialized cat?

Look for a cat that appears alert, comfortable, and appropriately social for its age and personality. Ask thoughtful questions about health care, early socialization, and the cat's needs so you can make an informed decision.

Q: How can I help a new cat settle into my home?

Give the cat a quiet, comfortable space with easy access to food, water, a litter area, and places to rest. Patience, gentle interaction, and a consistent routine can help a new companion feel secure as it adjusts.

PAWFIA British Shorthair

Where Beautiful Pedigrees Meet Loving Hearts

At PAWFIA British Shorthair, we believe every beautiful beginning starts with love.

We are a small, family-oriented cattery with a heartfelt passion for the timeless beauty and gentle charm of British Shorthair cats. From their adorable round faces and plush teddy bear coats to their captivating eyes and endearing personalities, there is something truly special about this wonderful breed.

Our journey began with our beloved male and female British Shorthairs, both imported from China with distinguished championship pedigrees. We take pride in their exceptional bloodlines, but above all, we treasure them for the joy, affection, and companionship they bring into our lives.

Here at PAWFIA, our cats are family first, always.

Our cats are raised in the heart of our home, not separated from everyday family life. They roam freely, lounge in their favorite cozy spots, curl up on our beds, and enjoy all the love, attention, and little comforts that come with being cherished family members.

We believe that raising wonderful companions begins long before they leave for their forever homes. Through thoughtful care, gentle handling, early socialization, and daily family interaction, we provide a nurturing environment where each kitten can grow with confidence, curiosity, and a sense of security.

With only a few carefully planned litters throughout the year, we are able to give every kitten the individual love, attention, and care they deserve. Each little personality is unique, and watching our kittens grow and blossom is one of the greatest joys of what we do.

At PAWFIA, finding the perfect forever home means so much more than placing a kitten with a family. We cherish the opportunity to connect with people who share our love for these beautiful cats, and we strive to make every step of the journey personal, transparent, and filled with care.

Our greatest hope is that every PAWFIA kitten becomes more than a beautiful pet — a treasured companion, a source of everyday happiness, and a beloved member of your family for many wonderful years to come.
